Millenials
Technology is priority.
I don’t believe that
It’s okay to turn off your phone.
Snapchat streaks and Instagram likes
Are more important than
Human interactions
Let’s face it,
Conversations only happen through a screen.
Don’t let anyone convince you that
Society is addicted to technology.

having little time;
One was overwhelmed,
and then there were nine.

Nine little students
up working late;
One wanted to date,
and then there were eight.

Eight little students
fighting depression;
One lost the battle,
and then there were seven.

Seven little students
finding their cliques;
One felt unwelcome,
and then there were six.

Six little students
trying to thrive;
One dropped two classes,
and then there were five.

Five little students,
penniless sophomores;
One couldn’t keep up,
and then there were four.

Four little students
earning a degree;
One reprioritized,
and then there were three.

Three little students
reaching medical breakthroughs;
One made an error,
and then there were two.

Two little students
studying a ton;
One failed the MCAT,
and then there was one.

One little student was finally done;
She didn't understand that she’d just begun;
She wasted three decades, having no fun;
She lost motivation,
and then there were none.
